The Art of Animals
1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
If you're enjoying the ongoing show, "Animals of the Southwest," featuring the pastel paintings of Dinah Swan, you'll enjoy this special opportunity. "The Art of Animals" is a free demonstration and lecture by Dinah about her work on June 14 from 1:15 to 2:30 p.m. in the Museum's Theater.

An added offering is a pastel workshop by Dinah immediately following, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Space is limited for the workshop, and the cost is $25 to participate. Please stop by the Museum before June 11 to register.

In the workshop, Dinah will teach the basics of how to work with pastels. An image of an animal will be provided, along with paper and pastel crayons. Dress in clothes that can get messy. You can also prepare for the workshop by reading "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain," by Betty Edwards, or by watching her video on YouTube.
