Cowgirl with Some Sand

A retired movie double who has spent much of her extraordinary life in the saddle will be the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum's guest during a special presentation on Dec. 11.

The event begins at 7 p.m. and admission is free.

"Cowgirl with Some Sand" features Gale Ginn of Las Cruces, a retired bronc buster, cowgirl poet, and riding double in films. She will talk about her work with Hollywood stars such as Shelley Winters, Alan Ladd and Joseph Cotten.

Following a 75-minute feature film called "Untamed Frontier," Ginn will talk briefly about her career on horseback. She will be joined in the theater by film buff and movie reviewer, Jeff Berg.
