Our Artifacts

The New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum currently houses over 8,000 artifacts that tell the story of agriculture and rural life in New Mexico. We also have over 400 educational objects that are used by our Education Department for outreach programs and events in the community.

Most of our collections date from 1850 to 1955 and fall into the following categories:

  • Farm equipment and implements
  • Equipment used for the care and management of livestock
  • Wagons and carriages
  • Tools of all kinds
  • Household items
  • Fine and folk art
  • Clothing and textiles
  • Personal effects (jewelry, personal care items, handbags, fans, etc.)

The Museum is always looking for new additions to the collections. Learn how to Donate to Our Collections.
