SUMMARY:Community Appreciation Day
DESCRIPTION:The public can experience the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum for free on Sept. 7 as part of the annual Community Appreciation Day. \nThe Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities for the day include pony rides ($5 cash only) from 10 a.m. to noon and the “All Aboard the Ag Wagon” program will be introducing children ages 6-12 to the importance of pollinators from 10 a.m. to noon in a hands-on simulation. \nGuests can tour all the Museum’s exhibits\, including: The Dairy Spot: Discovery Center\, Riding Herd with Billy the Kid: The Rise of the Cattle Industry in New Mexico\, Home on the Range: Beyond the Farm: Groundbreaking Agriculture\, Wheels & Gears\, and much more. \nVisitors can also check out the Museum’s livestock\, including six different breeds of cattle\, horses\, sheep\, and a donkey. \n
