Community Appreciation Day

The public can experience the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum for free on Sept. 7 as part of the annual Community Appreciation Day.
The Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities for the day include pony rides ($5 cash only) from 10 a.m. to noon and the “All Aboard the Ag Wagon” program will be introducing children ages 6-12 to the importance of pollinators from 10 a.m. to noon in a hands-on simulation.
Guests can tour all the Museum’s exhibits, including: The Dairy Spot: Discovery Center, Riding Herd with Billy the Kid: The Rise of the Cattle Industry in New Mexico, Home on the Range: Beyond the Farm: Groundbreaking Agriculture, Wheels & Gears, and much more.
Visitors can also check out the Museum’s livestock, including six different breeds of cattle, horses, sheep, and a donkey.
