Heart of the Desert has something for everyone

While specializing in wine and pistachio products, the gift shop also offers a variety of Southwestern gifts, food products, books, souvenirs, and jewelry.

The Snack Bar provides a roomy, relaxing atmosphere for families, and features light lunch items such as hot dogs and sandwiches, as well as ice cream and other treats.

Heart of the Desert is owned and operated by the Schweers family. Their family farm, located in Alamogordo, contains New Mexico’s first and largest-producing pistachio groves, as well as a vineyard of 24,000 grapes vines.

These fresh, delicious pistachios, various award-winning wines, baked goods, and candy are marketed under the Heart of the Desert brand name. Heart of the Desert produces 12 different wines. All of the gourmet products can be bought in the Museum gift shop and online at www.HeartoftheDesert.com.
